Thank you to everyone for trying out. We had many great applicants and it was tough to make a decision. We will vote on the remaining officers on Wednesday.

 

Past Announcements

 

Hi Everyone! For those of you attending the Olvera Street Event this Saturday, here are a few important details: 
- If you are not riding the metro with us, please meet us at the Water Fountain across the street from Union Station on Olvera Street by 11:30. 
- For people riding the metro with us, please meet us at the Sierra Madre Metro located at 149 N. Halstead St.Pasadena, CA 91107. Please be there at 10 A.M. Meet at the 3rd floor, where you can buy tickets, the same place as the beginning of the bridge. 
- Bring around 20-30 dollars.
- This is a FastTrack Member Event; those that didn't attend the San Gabriel Event and don't attend this event will be required to participate in an alternate assignment. We will be enforcing the 1 event rule. If you can't make it to this event and didn't participate in the previous event, notify us during the meeting to arrange the alternate activity.
- Remember that Safety is First, as Olvera Street can have many tourists. Always follow the group during the tour and do not walk off on your own. 
- Bring your field trip form with you to the event; you cannot participate without it and will be sent home unless your parent provides consent.
- Olvera Street is one of the hallmarks of Spanish and Latin American Culture in California, Have Fun!!

 

 

Olvera Street Field Trip Form is now available! Please access it at this link (pdf file). Keep in mind that you must fill it out and bring it with you to the Sierra Madre Metro. You cannot participate in this activity without the field trip form. Bring around $20, and we hope to see you there!

The mandatory field trip form can be accessed at this link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3D7NpNLMCuCWkQycDNVTmlPZGs/view?usp=sharing. You must fill it out and bring it with you to the mission on Saturday at 2 P.M. Please fill in the information accurately and legibly. If you do not bring the form, we cannot allow you to participate in the tour, as this is required by AUSD. Also, there is a $3 admission fee, so please bring money to pay for that as well. Stay tuned for our upcoming trip to the San Gabriel Mission! It is a FastTrack member event, but is also open to any student attending ALAS Spanish Club!

 

The FastTrack/Application Period has closed. The application period will reopen the next school year, and thank you for your interest. Current applicants will be notified soon of our decision. Until then please continue attending ALAS Spanish Club, as we will be taking attendance. Attendance is mandatory for SHH members. Other students not participating in SHH are still encouraged to attend ALAS Spanish Club to further their interest in Hispanic Culture and to learn about other countries.
